Our Awards

The ASA, CSSA, and SSSA Awards programs celebrate excellence in agronomic, crop, soil, and environmental sciences—from emerging student leaders to seasoned professionals shaping the future of our disciplines. 

Each award recognizes outstanding contributions in research, education, volunteer service, and leadership excellence. 

We are proud to honor individuals whose work reflects the values and vision of our Societies. Award recipients are recognized annually at CANVAS awards ceremonies and featured in CSA News.

The nomination period for most awards is now closed. Individual timelines may vary. CANVAS travel awards open May 5, 2026.

Policies and notes

• Award committee members may not be a nominee, nominator, or reference for the award for which their committee is responsible. They can participate in all other awards. View the ASA, CSSA, and SSSA Boards of Directors' specific policies regarding their eligibility.

• For all submissions, is best to use the Society's email address that we have on file for the nominee. View the Member Directory for Society email address on record.
